LXBD Achieves ISCC PLUS Certification
We are pleased to announce that LXBD has been awarded the ISCC PLUS Certificate, issued by TÜV NORD CERT GmbH, confirming that our site in Recklinghausen complies with the requirements of the ISCC PLUS certification system for sustainability and carbon management.
What is ISCC PLUS?
ISCC PLUS (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) is a globally recognized voluntary certification scheme for industrial applications. It enables companies to trace and verify the use of sustainable, bio-based and bio-circular raw materials throughout the supply chain, applying the mass balance approach to carbon footprint accounting. You can view all valid certificates, including ours, on the official ISCC certificate database.
Our certificate covers LXBD’s site as a Processing Unit under the mass balance chain of custody, allowing us to handle and document sustainable input materials — including bio and bio-circular raw materials — across our polymer dispersion production.
What products are covered
This certification applies across LXBD’s core polymer dispersion portfolio, including styrene-acrylic, acrylic, and vinyl acetate (VAM) based copolymers formulated with bio and bio-circular raw material inputs. In practical terms, this means customers can now source ISCC PLUS certified grades within our existing product range — without changing their current formulation or process.
What this means for our customers
With ISCC PLUS certification in place, LXBD can now issue ISCC Certificates to customers, supporting their own sustainability reporting and carbon footprint traceability requirements. Because certified material is allocated via mass balance within our existing production, customers can adopt certified grades as a drop-in solution, with no impact on product performance or supply continuity.
